FY 2024 Composting and Food Waste Reduction Pilot Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program is to enter into cooperative agreements with eligible entities to develop and test strategies for planning and implementing municipal compost plans and food waste reduction plans. Click here for more information.

FY 2024 Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children Workforce: Evaluation and Technical Assistance Center

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support the national Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) workforce strategy through the creation of an evaluation and technical assistance center to oversee and evaluate projects to implement the strategy. Click here for more information.

FY 2024 Historic Preservation Fund - African American Civil Rights - History Grants

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program funds the documentation, interpretation, and preservation of sites and stories of the full history of the African American struggle to gain equal rights from the transatlantic slave trade forward. Click here for more information.

State governments, county governments, city or township governments, special district governments, independent school districts, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, Native American tribal governments, Native American tribal organizations, nonprofit organizations, and private institutions of higher education 

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $24 million

National Archives and Records Administration

FY 2024-2026 Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program improve safety, protect motorists and wildlife by reducing wildlife vehicle collisions (WVCs), and improve habitat connectivity for terrestrial and aquatic species. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Local governments, regional transportation authorities, special purpose district or public authority with a transportation function, Indian Tribes, State Departments of Transportation, metropolitan planning organizations, and Federal Land Management Agencies

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $145 million (FY 2024/FY 2025), $80 million (FY 2026)

WHEN'S IT DUE? September 4, 2024 (FY 2024/2025), August 1, 2025 (FY 2026)

 

Department of Transportation

FY 2024 Small Community Air Service Development Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program is designed to provide financial assistance to small communities to help them enhance their air service. Improved air service will increase connectivity to the national air transportation system for underserved communities. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Public entities, including individual communities and consortia of communities, that do not currently have commercial air services
