WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support the development and establishment of mitigation banks and banking opportunities solely for agricultural producers with wetlands subject to the wetland conservation compliance provisions of the 1985 Food Security Act. Click here for more information.

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program will fund research development and demonstration projects to improve power systems simulation software tools and demonstrate new business models for distribution systems operations to integrate and optimize the value of inverter-based resources (IBRs) and distributed energy resources (DERs), including solar, wind, energy storage, and other technologies such as buildings and electric vehicles (EVs). Click here for more information.

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides funding to diversify the nominations to the National Register of Historic Places. Projects include surveys and inventories of historic properties associated with communities underrepresented in the National Register, as well as the development of nominations to the National Register for specific sites. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State governments, city or township governments, Native American tribal governments (federally recognized), organizations that have a documented history of effective work concerning domestic violence, and any organization that works directly with pets, service animals, emotional support animals, or horses and collaborates with any organization listed above

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program will improve the reporting, transportation, processing, and identification of missing persons (MP) and unidentified human remains (UHR) cases in their jurisdictions, including migrants. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Local and state governments, Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) forensic laboratories, medical examiner offices, crime laboratories, toxicology laboratories, university forensic anthropology laboratories, and nonprofit organizations that have working collaborative agreements with state and county forensic offices. State universities that include a forensic tract with labs also qualify as eligible applicants

FY 2024 The Kevin and Avonte Program: Reducing Injury and Death of Missing Individuals with Dementia and Developmental Disabilities

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program will support local jurisdictions' efforts to reduce the number of deaths and injuries of individuals with forms of dementia, such as Alzheimer’s disease, or developmental disabilities, such as autism, who, due to their condition, wander from safe environments. Click here for more information.

WHAT DOES IT FUND?  The purpose of this program is to strategically deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging and alternative fueling infrastructure where people live and work in urban and rural areas alike and along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? States and their political subdivisions, metropolitan planning organizations, local governments, special purpose districts/public authorities with a transportation function; Indian Tribes, U.S. Territories, authorities, agencies, or instrumentalities of, or an entity owned by, one or more entities previously mentioned as well as groups of aforementioned entities listed. State or local authorities owning publicly accessible transportation facilities are eligible for community grants.
