Notice of Call for Data for the State of Oregon Water Quality Assessment for 2024 Integrated Report Feb. 6, 2023, through April 7, 2023
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s water quality monitoring program routinely collects data and assists volunteer groups with evaluating water quality. To broaden the scope of its assessment, DEQ is soliciting any additional water quality data collected during the past five years — Jan. 1, 2018, through Dec. 31, 2022. The assessment program only uses high quality data for its Integrated Report. Information submitted for consideration must meet the assessment program’s quality control and quality assurance requirements (QA/QC) as specified in Oregon’s 2024 Integrated Report Call for Data Submission Guidelines (https://www.oregon.gov/deq/wq/Pages/irCallforData.aspx).
The deadline for submissions for the 2024 Integrated Report is 4 p.m. (PDT) Friday, April 7, 2023. DEQ recommends data be submitted as soon as possible and that it be sent electronically as specified in the Data Submission Requirements section of Oregon’s 2022 Integrated Report Call for Data Submission Guidelines. DEQ’s webpage has data submittal templates and video tutorials: (https://www.oregon.gov/deq/wq/Pages/irCallforData.aspx).
To meet federal deadlines, DEQ is unable to extend the deadline. Be sure to review the website (https://www.oregon.gov/deq/wq/Pages/irCallforData.aspx) for information about submitting your data. Please contact DEQ with any questions using the email address at the end of the message.
NOTE: On-going participants in DEQ’s Volunteer Monitoring Program can continue to use data reporting procedures established there. Data submitted under that program do not need to be resubmitted under this call. Similarly, data submitted to DEQ as part of the recent Temperature TMDL Replacement call for data does not need to be re-submitted.
NPDES permittees who submit their data through the Electronic Data Delivery (EDD) process in NetDMR for permitting purposes may continue reporting data through those procedures. Please contact Aliana Britson (aliana.britson@deq.oregon.gov) with questions or to verify the receipt of your data through this program.
Finally, data already submitted using the EDD process for NPDES or MS4 programs does not need to be resubmitted.
For questions or comments about the Call for Data, please email datahelp.ir@deq.oregon.gov.
Thank you,
